What a home visit looks like

I arrive, wash my hands and ask how your child has been since last time, including any doctor's visits or news.

We agree today's plan together, and I ask whether you would like me to focus on anything in particular. I always ask your consent before treatment.

I take time to let your child get comfortable with me first. Some children are wary of clinicians, so nothing starts until they are ready.

We work through play-based exercises, and I check after each one that your child is comfortable and not too tired.

At the end I leave your child settled with you, explain what we worked on, set this week's home tasks and book the next visit.

I'm Cristina, an HCPC-registered paediatric physiotherapist with more than five years' experience with children, previously at a private clinic in London.
I come to you, so your child can work where they feel safest.

How quickly can you see my child?
I reply the same day, and a first appointment is usually within 3 days.
What happens at the first assessment?
It lasts 90 minutes and includes a full assessment and a written report.
Do you work with children who have no diagnosis yet?
Yes.

How is the travel charge worked out?
It is 55p per mile, calculated from Hendon Central Station to your home.
